Therapy for Life Transitions

There are transformative times when we are both letting go and exploring something new. These liminal spaces are powerful moments for reflection, healing, and growth, such as:

  • entering college or adulthood and exploring identity, work, relationships and shifting family dynamics

  • beginning or ending a romantic partnership or marriage

  • career changes, job loss, or retirement

  • becoming a parent

  • illness, changes in your body, or aging

  • adjusting to an “empty” or now more open “nest”

  • caring for aging or ill parents or loved ones

  • grief and loss

We’ll create space to process change, clarify your needs and values, and build practical tools to support your well-being so you can move forward with greater authenticity and intention.

“Honor the space between no longer and not yet.”― Nancy Levin

Therapy for Anxiety, Trauma and Self-Esteem

Anxiety, worry and stress can be exhausting, draining us of energy, joy and presence. Challenging experiences such as trauma, abuse, and chronic stress - as well as historical, cultural, intergenerational or systemic forces - can leave a lasting imprint on our nervous systems and sense of self. We may struggle with self-doubt, healthy boundaries, perfectionism, or just allowing ourselves to relax.

As a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) and trauma-informed therapist, I support you in cultivating greater peace, healing, and self-confidence. Together, we’ll seek to understand the roots of your current challenges, learn cognitive and somatic tools, transform patterns that no longer serve you, and develop mindful acceptance and self-compassion.

Therapy for Pregnancy, Postpartum and Parenting

The path of parenthood can bring profound meaning and joy and…

… it’s a lot.

Pregnancy, birth and caring for another human brings intense physical and emotional changes, profound identity shifts, and the balancing act of tending to the ever-changing needs of your child while remaining connected with yourself and your relationships. You may be feeling depleted by a challenging birth, postpartum depression and anxiety, or emotionally triggered as complex memories of your own childhood come into focus.

You are not alone.

Therapy is a compassionate, nurturing space for you - to process your journey, tend to overwhelm, and build support for this tender season of life. Together, we’ll strengthen your emotional resources, cultivate self-compassion, and develop practical tools to help you feel more grounded, connected and confident in your journey.

Creative Arts Therapy

The creative process can allow us to explore and express our experiences and inner world in embodied, whole-brain ways beyond talking and thinking. As an expressive arts therapist, I utilize art-making, imagery, music, movement/dance, writing, poetry, metaphor, and drama to support opportunities for self-discovery, emotional release, clarity, healing, growth, integration, problem solving, self-esteem building, and sometimes just bringing more lightness, play and fun to the therapy space. No artistic skills needed—just a willingness to engage in the creative process and explore in a safe and supportive environment.

“Art can permeate the very deepest part of us, where no words exist.”― Eileen Miller

What to Expect

I offer virtual (telehealth) sessions. Sessions are conducted using an online video meeting platform, last about 50 minutes long, and are usually scheduled to repeat weekly at a time convenient for you. Sessions can also be scheduled more or less frequently depending on your needs. Please contact me for availability.

In our first few sessions, we will discuss what brings you to therapy and what your hopes and goals are for our time together.

Good Faith Estimate/ No Surprises Act

In compliance with the No Surprises Act, if you will not be using your insurance to pay for sessions, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your care will cost. Under the law, mental health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the total expected charges for services, including psychotherapy services.

At the beginning of our work together, I will provide you with an estimate of the total expected cost of services based on the session fee over the course of a period of time (3 months, 6 month, 1 year, etc).

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
